When I was a school going child my mother never hired a tuition teacher or sent me to a coaching center, she always taught me by herself, if she was not getting something, in mathematics she searched some clues, talked to her sisters, and friend but she taught me by herself, and I understood better.
But now, parents don’t want to give their time to their kids, they don’t even try. Just google a tuition center and admit your children isn’t it easy? Most of the time your children will be out of the home or not with you. This habit will be developed in children so when they will grow up they will also not give their time to you.
Helping kids in completing their homework is a great opportunity to build a healthy relationship with your kids.
A Straits Times survey found seven in 10 parents send their children for private tuition
In my opinion, after-school tuition is a handicap, or put it more appropriately, an addiction to students. Once a child develops the habit of getting spoon fed by tuition teachers, his intellectual abilities begin to decline.
Students who become accustomed to tuitions try and find further shortcuts and this habit continues even through university level.
Tuition makes your child’s mind lazy.
Just living is not enough… one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.

Allow your children to spend the same time in the evening playing some outdoor games, chit-chatting with parents, or just allow them to read some non-course books. This would not only help them maintain their social presence but will also aid them in their academic performance.
Children should have enough freedom to be themselves – once they’ve learned the rules.
