It has been said, that hardwork leads to success. But I have seen many people despite hardworking, they are not as successful as they should be or than the others. Hardwork definitely pays off, but hardwork without consistency is like planting a tree and expecting it to give you fruits in one day. The key to success lies in how much committed you are. Success demands determination, focus and most importantly, consistent hardwork.
There’s a difference between hardwork and consistency. Working hard means to put your over-all effort and expect to gain success instantly. However, it works sometimes, but if we work without showing consistency, even after reaching success, sooner or later we will crash.Whereas, consistency means to show persistent performance, and learn from your mistakes, amend your plan and focus on achieving your goal rather than success.
Let’s take an example of a child learning to ride a bicycle. At first, things were easy and he learned it quite well. But later on, he finds it difficult despite knowing how to ride, as he faces challenges by riding on a rough road. However, he was successful as he persists with practicing for many weeks.
To be consistent means to dedicate yourself to persistent effort and hardwork over the long-term. It is not about mindlessly repeating your actions over and over again, but to learn from your mistakes, and show gradual improvement for a longer period of time. It is an ability to keep trust in yourself to show long-term dedication and be responsible of your choices.
You can achieve success only by showing discipline, being vigilant, mindful, and being focused towards your goals.
