Linguaphone Group announces partnership with top UK University to develop International Pingu's English Curriculum

Linguaphone Group, an international global language training provider with an extensive network of licensed partners across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, has today announced an important collaboration with Kingston University’s School of Education to design and develop an international curriculum for young children which will work alongside the Group’s existing licensed Pingu’s English programme.

The Linguaphone Group operates under the internationally recognised Linguaphone, Direct English and Pingu’s English brand names. With over 112 years of experience, the Group has an extensive network of learning centres and distributors worldwide. Pingu’s English is a 3 level centre based programme which teaches English to young children of 3-7+ years. Pingu’s English also provides valuable lessons in socialization, numeracy and computer skills. The programme is based on the hugely popular television character, Pingu, the mischievous but loveable penguin, and centres on his true-to-life everyday adventures in the South Pole.

The extended international curriculum will provide a well-planned structure and the necessary resources to support early years’ practitioners in giving children the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary for developmental progression though play activities linked closely to the much loved and widely used Pingu’s English package. The curriculum will be consistent with the Early Years Foundation stage framework (EYSF) philosophy and will be delivered in English. Linguaphone Group hope to release the new international curriculum to market in late 2016.

Derek Price, CEO, Linguaphone Group said, “Our partnership with Kingston University’s School of Education makes us early players in the growing market for International Kindergartens and, combined with the inherent strength of the Pingu’s English branding, will be an exciting opportunity for all our partners.”

Kingston University’s School of Education is currently rated by The Guardian league table as the top teacher-training provider in London and consistently ranked in the top six in the UK.

“Our experts are thrilled to be a part of this venture and to have the opportunity to contribute age appropriate activities in key curriculum and skills areas to enhance and support this well-established entertaining educational, children’s English language course”, said Andy Hudson, Associate Dean (Education Partnerships), Kingston University.

Pingu's English school has wider range of facilities, better infrastructure & the appropriate teaching-learning environment.I was glad to hear a unanimous response for the school's reputation in terms of behavioral and personality development of the child. I have seen a tremendous change in my child's behavioral and specifically speech issues, my ward has gone from an extremely shy and non-communicative to a bold speaker The strong emphasis on parent-teacher relationship makes the student's progress very transparent and effective. Individual attention and customized techniques for handling issues with children is a plus for this school.

Pingu's is doing well in not only building the academics but also the confidence level of the children by providing them exposure to several fields that includes international competitions, general knowledge, swimming classes, and media. I must appreciate the way how you people have started GK instead of social studies and when I came to know that my daughter was told about WW1, its background as well as consequences, I really liked that. Moreover, the way my child speaks several languages like Chinese, Spanish, Arabic along with English makes me feel so proud of her and my choice of opting Pingu for her. keep working like this.

I found Pingu's a different place where my child is feeling to be in the happiest town his mind is exploring and enjoying the comfort of his early years with Pingu's family. The theme and character of Pingu is so attractive for child it motivates little minds to ask, think, enjoy, feel, achievement, imagination and moving all around it and it's very easier for child to improve their listening writing and speaking with confidence in early years. It's flexibility for parents and children too highly recommended for their professional attitude very simple and clear about their programs and statements Alhumdullilah completely satisfied so nice and competent staff feeling love and respect for them.

Pingu's is providing loving and caring environment. My child loves to go to school, it is providing the broad spectrum of learning by making students learn through different and interesting activities. Two best thing I want to highlight is their focus on religious learning along with modern education secondly they are concerns about children's health in the form of snacks chart. keep flying high Pingu.
