During the most blissful days of Eid- ul- Adha, we mostly ignore our health and focus more on the celebrations and enjoyment. Enjoyment and celebration are indeed the most essential ingredients of Eid- ul- Adha but, health and safety come first. So, this blog is especially for all the Muslims to read and follow all the safety rules this Eid.
First, the thing that we must avoid in outstanding quantities is meat. We should avoid eating meat in a great quantity every day during Eid days because eating 90g of meat each day can cause colon cancer. We all must make sure to reduce the intake of meat and add light and digestible foods to our diet plan, especially during Eid because we mostly forget to measure the amount of meat that we eat every other day and harm our health badly.
We should also make sure to prepare food in hygienic conditions.
We must;
• wash meat with cold water to clean all the unwanted particles.
• Avoid leaving meat at room temperature for many hours.
• Try to eat as soon as possible after cooking because bacteria rapidly attack the meat.
• Quickly divide the meat into different packets and keep them in the refrigerator.
• Cook meat well.
• Use gloves when using or working with meat and wash hands very well after the completion of work.
• Avoid touching face or skin when touching meat, as it contains many micro-organisms.
• Dispose of the meat if it smells, expires, or contaminates.
Here, we should also remember the social distance, even if we arrange any Eid gathering, we must;
• Allow limited guests at a time or call some people in the morning, some in the afternoon, and some in the evening to get Eid party done with proper safety.
• Prevent the spread of coronavirus by following all SOPs.
• Wash hands for 20 seconds (at least).
We all must follow all the safety rules this Eid and play our roles to save ourselves and others this Eid. May Allah accept our sacrifice of animals. Ameen! Eid-ul-Adha Mubarak in advance!
