There is only one corner in the universe that you can be certain of improving and that is your own self- Aldous Huxley
Our mind portrays our personality. Personal Development includes the process of gaining self-awareness about the inner aspects of our mind and furthering our limiting approach. Oftentimes, we have a certain standard of idea in our mind which hinders us from shifting our outlook towards the concept of change.
There are various reasons which can have an impact on the personality of an individual. Everyone has different circumstances but the journey to change our thoughts starts with self-awareness. When we can recognize and identify our beliefs and fears, only then we can train ourselves to untangle our confusions and to approach the hurdles in life with a can-do attitude.
The journey to self-improvement is firstly connected with our relationship with Allah the Almighty. Allah knows us better than we even know ourselves. When we get to know Allah (S.W.T), when we remember Him then Allah makes us more aware of ourselves, He makes us more conscious of our actions and helps us to transform them in a better way.
Self-development is a daily practice. It involves making a continuous effort in working on our habits. We can choose what we wish to change and start to follow up with a healthy alternative. Consistency creates meaningful changes. Remember, a day is not wasted if we worked towards our goals and made some progress in the right direction even if it was minor.
Self-doubt and fear can inhibit us from exploring beyond our comfort zone. Channelize the mind in shifting the focus towards a constructive approach. Also, make a list of things that are needed to be organized in daily life, it will help to save time and make us more productive.
Success is not a stereotype; it’s not the amount of money we earn. It means to be able to discover our abilities and refine them. It implies trying our best and entrusting the outcome with Allah’s decree. If something is meant to be, Allah the Almighty will help us to achieve it and bless us with success.
In life, we all face problems but we should also remember that Allah is the provider of solutions, so regardless of problems we face as individuals or a community, we should remain hopeful and trust Allah. When we approach every problem, not as an obstacle but something that we can only conquer by the will of Allah, we can overcome it and become stronger as a result of it.
We must be optimistic and take chances to inculcate the changes in our lives for the better. This will help us to identify our strengths and weaknesses. We should not be afraid to try different things as it can become a source for us to discover our true potential
