The famous quotes state that time is money; time is precious, and time does not wait for anyone, but have you heard that time is the best medicine?
Every person undergoes difficulties in their daily life. Despite the great advancements in the present era, medical science has failed to heal a person’s emotional breakdown through medicine; however, Allah has blessed us with a time that keeps changing – hence it proves to be a natural cure for such illnesses.
Time is the greatest blessing of Allah that gradually lessens a person’s pain, sorrow, and grief, and helps him in recovering from such conditions. It is the best medicine to heal every wound. For Example: A death of a close relative brings great sorrow and pain to his relatives, but with time, they start recovering and living a normal life.
We should also remember that happiness and sorrows both are temporary in this world. Every disastrous situation is just a matter of time. All we need is to have patience.
Allah has said in The Holy Quran:
So surely ease (comes) with every hardship. (94: 5)
Therefore, we should remain steadfast in whatever difficult situation we face, and should not complain.
Allah has said in The Holy Quran:
Surely, Allah is with those who are patient. (8:46)
We should also keep in our minds that when our Beloved Prophet صلی اللہ تعالی علیہ وآلہ وسلم started preaching Islam, he صلی اللہ تعالی علیہ وآلہ وسلم faced immense pain and difficulty from the people of Makkah. The same people who would call him Sadiq (Truthful) and Ameen (Honest), who would have high regard for him, and who would consider him to be the best amongst people became his enemies, and started the worst opposition.
We have remembered the difficulty of Taif when Prophet Muhammad’s صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم shoes got full with his blood, but then the time came when the Conquest of Makkah took place.
All these examples teach us to be patient and calm during a difficult time.
Let’s make a firm intention of remaining grateful, patient, and steadfast during complicated and painful situations.
May Allah accept our acts of worship, and may He bless us with the highest level of patience. Aameen
